Wood parquet Ilooring types have been increased nowadays. Wood Ilooring can be c1assitied as one layered and multilayered parquet elernents. Properties and types of one-Iayered parquet elements were clarified in this study. Also similarities, differences, advantages, disadvantages of one layered parquet flooring types were stated and compared with each other in various flooring situations. Technical standarts named TS 73 EN 13226 (2004) "Solid parquet elements with grooves and/or tongues", TS 200 EN 13488 (2004) "Mosaic parquet elements", TS EN 14761 (2004) "Solid wood parquet- vertical tinger, wide finger and module brick", TS EN 13227 (2004) "Solid lamparquet products", TS EN 13228 (2004) "Solid wood overlay flooring elements including blocks with an interlocking system" were taken into consideration for determining properties of one layered parquet elements types. Common property for one layered parquet elements is that they're all flooring materials. Although there are similarities in classlfication characteristics, classification symbols, factory exit moisture contents, significant differences exist about dimensions, dimension tolerances, joining profiles, tlooring types in one layered parquet elements types. Therefore, all types have to be used in converıient usage areas according to their properties.
