This investigation has been applied in order to find out the relation betvveen m atu rity and storage of Scots pine (Pinus silvestris L.) seeds in Eskişehir - Ç atacık forest ıogion. D uring tvyo consecutive seed collecting period (1971-1972, 1Ö72 - 1978) cones vvere collected vvith determ ined intervals from 10 trees clıosen a t tnvo different elevations (1620 m, 1270 m ). Germ ination rates and percentages vvere obtained according to ISTA ruies. Then seed sam ples vvere stored both a t tho tem perature of 5-7°C, and a t room tem perature. A fter storage period germ ination values, and m oisture content of some seed samples vvere also determ ined.
