Çataldag !b the naıne of a mountain avhich is placed betnveen Bursa and Balıkesir. The altitude of tho mountain peak is 1336 meters. The fir which is distributed on Çataldag has been called Abies equl - trojani Ast. et Sint. by GÖKMEN (1970) and ARBEZ (19>69). Contrary to GÖKMEN and AREZ, ATA (1975) Claimed that this fir was not Abies equitrojani but did not determine the name of it. In this study it is aimed to disclose the natural distribution, the forest forms and the botanical characteristics of this fir.
