Forest production planning is a quite com plex problem \vhich requires to plan and im plem ent barvesting, logging, and transportation activities vvitlı efficiency and harm ony. A m ong these activities, the cost of transportation can be a higlı proportion in the total cost of producing timber. Therefore, it is very im portant to develop an optim um transportation plan \vith m inimum cost or m axim um net profit. The main purpose of tlıis study \vas to introduce the m ethodology behind the netvvork analysis method used in forest transportation planning and to present N ETW O RK 2001 model and its solution capability in a sam ple application.
