In this research, effects o f root clipping on som e seedling characteristics of oriental beech were investigated. It was found that this treatm ent had a positive and statistically significant effect on both the root collar diam eter and the num ber o f the roots. Root clipping did not alter significantly height, fresh weight and dry weight.
