Som e anatom ical features of Juglans regia L. and Pterocarya fraxiııifolia Spach. species in the family of Juglandaceae grovvn in W est Black Sea Region, Turkey, vvere com paratively investigated. A lthough \vood structure o f the two species w ere found sim ilar, slight differences vvere determ ined such as heartvvoodsapvvood colour, distribution of the apotraheal axial parenchym a in annual rings, celi vvall thickness o f Fiber tracheids and end structure of m acerated Fiber tracheids.
