It is not rational to determine the phases of regeneration and tendingfelling vvorks, (cutting-felling, delimbing, barking, measuring and bucking) \vithout using the time consumption of regeneration and maintenance cutting works measurement in novvadays forestry. This study was conducted in Artvin province a typical Eastern Blacksea Region . This investigation ,vvas made to determine the time consumption of cutting-felling, delimbing, barking and bucking vvorks stages in spruce stands. investigation topic is focused on time study about cutting-bucking phases in spruce stands. The aim of this research is to determine the work phases and their time consumptions. The time period of cutting-bucking phases and working time of the \vorkman by using the chainsa\v vvas determined by using chronometer. The cutting-felling, delimbing, barking and bucking vvorks which is named as tree cutting processes totally \vere determined as 33’32” for one tree. It was determined the time consumption for delimbing 16’04” , for barking, measuring, and bucking 10’48” and the remaining time used up for the other phases 6 ’80” . Average productivity \vas determined as 1,25 m3/hour (average tree volüme 1,07 m3/tree) and 14,40 tree/day.
