T urkey has unique characteristics in term s of forest fires due to its geography, vegetation and climatic factors. A num ber o f studies have been perform ed on the prevention of forest fire and fire fighting activities. In this study netvvork analysis was used to expose effectiveness of forest roads and firebreaks of different types and their standards in fire fighting activities by focusing on integration of forest roads and firebreaks at the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park. The netvvork analysis shovved th at forest roads and firebreaks m ust be planned together and these roads m ust m atch the optim al standards.
