In this study, accreditation applications for forestry engineering program s vvere investigated concerning standards on forestry and engineering in T urkey and vvorld. A s a result of investigation, it vvas found that forestry engineering program in İstanbul U niversity has vveakness on program m ission, aim s of education, and evaluation system s in highest level. O n the other hand, vvhile it has vveakness in m iddle level on students, infrastructure, support o f parent institution and m onetary sources, professional education o f curriculum and faculty staff can be accepted as the best parts o f it.
