There is a need to determine the strategies to respond recreational demands as other functions of dynamic natural resource management policy in natural areas. Knowledge about visitor characteristics is basic information for feasible decisions concerning with the recreational resource management strategy. Establishing practicable visitor monitoring has a priority for providing accurate and comprehensive information in visitor survey. At the same time, the suitable visitor monitoring method must be used for collecting long-time information about users. This monitoring method can be changed concerning with the information types, availability of resources, physical settings, etc. In this study, first the importance of visitor monitoring was mentioned. Then the usage and impact of different monitoring methods were emphasized by explaining the methods briefly.
