Carpinus orientalis Mili, is a small tree or a tali shrub and naturally grovvs in Thrace, Nortlı and Sorth Anatolia (YALTIRIK 1988). In this research, the inner morphological and palynological characteristics of Carpinus orientalis Mili, vvere determined. As a result, it is determined that its wood is homogeneous, diameter of pores are small and nuınber of pores in per ınm2 is 59 (12-138). The max. hight of Rays is 79 cells and max. width is 7 celis. Rays are homogeneous. The type of pollen is Triporatae. P=26.96 pm., E=29.84pm. and the form of pollen is Sphaeroidae.
