In this study, u n treated , steam ed (40 h r and a t 60°C ) an d soaked beech logs in Iıot w ater (40 h r and at 6Ö°C ) w ere peeied a t different tem p eratu res (20, 30, 40 and 50 °C ) to determ ine the effect of peeling tem perature on surface roughness of veneers. The results showed that surface roughness of m anufactured veneers increased w ith peeling tem peratures in both steam ed and soaked in hot w ater logs. It may be concluded that the tem perature of 20 o r 30°C is suitable for peeling in beech logs.
