In this artiele, along wiıh examining its difference from other art picture and its histarical development, the purpose of technical drawing and its role in manufacturing process are explained. Technical drawing, which is defined as a language used by technical personel to identify what needs to be done in the form of lines, was formulated around 30 B.C. However, technical drawing principles, used taday were first introduced by Gaspard Monge in ı795. Technical drawing is nowadays one of the ması important communication tools, through which one can follow the technological inrıovations, so that technical drawing is a universal means, used and understood by anyone, regardless of his or her nationality. Especially, in manufacturing, technical drawing is alsa crucial to keep feasible and sustainable pace.
