In this study, dom inant and co-dom inant high gnnvtlı in the nıanaged, evenaged, one stored and shoot originated beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky.) stands \vas investigated. Discussing the differences bet\veen anam orphic an d polym orplıic site index curves, an aiternative procedure for constructing of anam orphic site index curves w as presented. Using 55 stenı analysis d ata collected from 19 tem p o rary sam ple plots gro- \ving on varying site in the VVest Black See region, the application of m ethod for obtaining site index curves and the usage of tlıese curves \vere clarified respectively.
