Prof. Dr. Tahsin Akalp was born in Istanbul in the year 1945. He graduated from Istanbul University Forestry Faculty in 1967, As for 1975 from Istanbul University Science Faculty Math/ Physics Department. Our master, who was appointed to Istanbul University Forestry Faculty Forest Yield and Biometry Department in 1968, took the titles Doctor in 1975, Associate Professor in 1981 and Professor in 1988. Our master never giving up form scientific and analytical thought, whose managerial capability is high executed the tasks of Istanbul University Forestry Faculty Tobacco Experts College Directorship between 1985-1994, Tobacco Monopoly Institutes Directorship between 1988-1990, Istanbul University Forestry Faculty Dean Assistantship between 1995-1998 and Istanbul University Forestry Faculty Forest Yield and Biometry Department Chairmanship between 1996-2005. He did Istanbul University Forestry Faculty Deanship for two periods as for between the years 2005-2010. He voluntarily retired in 2011. In this paper it has been tried to present Prof. Dr. Tahsin Akalp’s Curriculum and Scientific publications.
