Water is essential in plant existence and life. Many vital processes like transpiration, photosynthesis ete. is possible with water. Enough quantity of water must be given to plants when necessary. Due to problems occurred in manual irrigation, automatic irrigation systems are getting on inseparable part of landscape design in Turkey. In this paper, PE, PVC, PPRC and galvanized pipe types which are used in irrigation systems and fıttings used in pipe joints in the country are given, Mechanic, heat fusion and solverıt welding joints were held and joining procedures and details are presented. The criteria of selecting joint types and cost analysis of coupling, butt fusion and electro fusion joints are giverı. According to cost analysis, coupling joint which is manufactured in Turkey between diameters 25-125 mm, is cheaper than butt fusion and electro fusion in the same region. Larger diameters than 125 mm and smailer diameters when customer chooses stronger, butt fusion or electro fusion should be selected.
