Wood from Douglas Fir trces grown in a plantation site in Belgrad Forest, near Istanbul, was examined for its density bascd on dry volume and weight, density based in grccn volumc and dry weight, shrinkage, medulus of rupturc in static bending, compression paralıcı to grain, tension parallel to grain, toughness (shock-resisting ability), and Brinell hardness. The results were compared with the values given in the Iiterature.
