This study investigated surface roughness of wood parquets obtained from some tree species grown in Turkey. Tests were carried out on parquet surfaces using a Mitutoyo SJ-30I at 20°C with a moisture content of 12%. Results of variance analysis showed that there were significant differences among the productions of the factories. Average roughness values were 5,8pm , 5,07fun, 4,73(Xm, and 5,19pm in crown oak, rift oak, crovvn beech and rift beech parquets, respectively. Surface roughness values of wood parquets imported from Bulgaria were found higher than those of domestic parquets.
