T he aim of this sludy is im proving Ihe tim ber production planning in forest districts. In order to do this, evenaged calabrican pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) stands’ m easurem ents vvere used in the K ahram anm araş Suçatı region. T his forest \vas divided into 95 activity areas, that have a range of size, based upon site index, slope, e.vposure and age class as the m ain variables. Ilovvever, the large activity areas vvere deliberately divided into sınailer activity areas for the erosion, w ildlife protection and esthetic features. H arvest and plantation schedules vvere calculated by using the regeneration param eters and yield relatıonships of even aged natural calabrican pine stands in Suçatı planning unit, in the contcxt o f a 100-year projection period, vvith 10-year planning intervals. In the scenarios, periodical harvests and plantation areas vvere calculated according to their present net value by changing the rotation ages (30,40,50,60 years), periodical allovvable cut (85 000, 102 000, 140 000 cubic m eters), interest rates (4% ,5% ,6% ). T he highest priority vvas given to the oldest stands for harvesting as their present net values are m axim azing the objective function as vvell as m axim unı periodical m ean increm ent. A +/-20 % tolerance w as used to calculate the yield level of lıarvest per period.
