Seeds of tree species or origins have different reactions to water stress. This ecologically important point eould be tested with chemicals [ike PEG 6000 whieh can form a water stress gradient. According to the results of stress tests with seeds of different tree speeies, it was determined that seeds from humid regions show lower resistanee to water stress.
