Studies on parquet industry carried out in Turkey were investigated. It was found out that nowadays most of the studies focuses mainıyon parquet industry, manufacturing technology of solid parquet and relationship between solid parquet and moisture content. A smail portion of them has a scientific research value, while most of the studies aimed to provide information for readers. Most of the studies on laminate and laminated parquet were conducted by firm staff as a purpose of providing information. And some references in this publications were not given, Basic research subjects which could provide useful information for parquet manufacturers and parquet consumers exist. These research subjects are the efficierıcy of Turkey's tree species in parquet manifacturing, the basic problems of parquet after flooring, finish work of parquet, manufacturing of laminate parquet, yield, wastes and costs in solid parquet industry, parquet flooring technics and human and environment health in iıs use.
