Reşadiye Peninsula, located at the southwestern corner of Anatolia, is formed of t\vo mountains connected by a Iow and narrow neck. Being highly steep and not suitable for agriculture, it has survived human influences and reflects the human settlement only at intervals. In these aspects, the ecology is paraleled by geology and archaeology in the history of the peninsula.
