Pedestrian zones are determining factors on visual landscape quality of cities because of their transition zone characteristics between various urban areas. This study was performed to demontsrate the visual landscape quality of areas designed for pedestrians in the Düzce city center. In this study, relationship between landscape characteristics based on expert opinion (naturalness, manageability, historicity) and perception and liking parameters evaluated by different classes of society have been evaluated by different classes of society via questionnaires and statistically analysed (by Pearson Correlation) in terms of psycophysical approach model. According to results of analysis, it was concluded that there were a strong relationship between all factors (Which factors and give some quantitative results) (p = 0,000 < 0,05). Visual landscape feature which mostly influences the “perception” and the “liking” factors was determined as naturalness. It was concluded that visual landscape quality of pedestrian areas in the center of Düzce city was in moderate level ( min= 1,64; max = 3,60). Visual landscape charecteristics of pedestrian areas should be considered in planning and design studies, maintenance works should be given more importance and thanks to this, visual landscape quality of Düzce city should be increased.
