Understanding of the structure of decision problem and the process of decision making are important subjects to be known in advance in the establishment of effective decision support systems. Generally, the term, Decision Support Systems (DSS), has been used to refer to systems that are computer-based aids for decision making. In this study, concerning a decision making problem in forestry, had been explained with the necessity of DSS tools, designing, impacts of data and models, and information presentation in a sample application.
