In this study, the double accessed stem volüme tables of Taurus fir (Abies cilicica Carr.) and cedar (Cedrus libani Link) the important forest trees of our country have been constructed by using the data obtained from sample trees taken from generally normal closed, pure and mixed stands. Stem Analyses have been made for the sample trees of 53 Taurus flrs and 23 cedars, and the values of diameter, height and volüme have been measured in ten-year periods on the cross-sections. Periodical values of diameters and volumes have been converted to the barked values vvith the help of the relations of diameter \vithout bark-diameter \vith bark and volüme without bark-volume with barkof the sample trees. Thus, 604 Taurus firs and 260 cedars have been obtained as periodical trees. The volüme tables have been constructed by using the values of the barked diameter, barked volüme and height of periodical trees. The statistical method has been based on in the construction of the volüme tables and various regression models have been examined to select the most suitable volüme equations. The most suitable model has been also observed to be Prodan’s model for the two species. The volüme tables constructed here have been compared witlı MİRABOĞLU’s fır (1955) and EVCİMEN’s (1963) ..cedar volüme tables by means of the graphs of the relations between barked diameter and height. It has been seen that MİRABOĞLU hadn’t placed the volumes of the trees of the diameter less than 14 cm into his volüme table. But these volumes cited have been included into the volüme tables made by us here. In the construction of our volüme tables, the data of dominant and codominant trees have been used. So, the tables should be used in the determination of volumes of the trees having the same characteristics.
