We lost Prof. Dr. Volkan ŞÖLEN, colleague and respected member of our teaching staff almost nine years ago, and we feel we owe it to her to mark tlıe nineth anniversary of her passing. Tlıis year, a special issue of our Forestry Faculty Journal has been devoted to her, and we wish to thank tlıe Dean and tlıe Publications Comittee for granting us tlıis opportunity o f commemorating her untimely death. We therefore Iıave pleassure in setting out below her bibliography and a summary of her academic research.
