Forests are global resourees, and they provide many important benefits. On the other hand it is known that forests are deereasing day by day. Today, many efforts have been taken against this deereasing trend in many parts of the world. One of the most important efforts is sustainable forest management approaeh. Sustainable forest management defines a wide ran ge of aims and benefits, related to social, environmental and eeonomie values of the forests. Some eriteria and indieators were defined in different proeesses to realize sustainable forest management of forests and other natural resourees.
