The art and urban open spaces have been interacting with each other since human being started to act in the nature. Urban open space design has developed in parallel with open space use and styles as a result of changing artistic movements from the Paleolithic age when human being tried to socialize first time in the historical process to the present. Gülhane Park, which is placed in Eminonu district in Istanbul, is one of the first public parks of Istanbul and a historically important place since it is a part of Topkapi Palace. This study aims to expose the interactions between Gülhane Park and the art by investigating its landscape elements and art objects.
