Tlıere are large forest fires in Turkey almost every year. This study involves large forest fires of Turkey in 1985. There had been mainly 7 large forest fires in that year which vvere located in four different Forest Regions, namely in Balıkesir, Çanakkale, İzmir and Muğla Forest Regions and 12202 hectares of forest area were burned out.
