Until rccently two natural distribution of Phoeııix tlıeoplırasti were recorded in Turkey; in the Datça Peninsula and Kumluca-Karaöz in Finike Bay. A new locality of Phoenix in Turkey has recently been found at Bodrurn-Gölköy. The Gölköy Phoenix differs from Phoeııix theoplırasti and Phoenix dactylifera in terms of some of its morphological characteristics. In this article the new native Phoenix grove in Gölköy is explairıed, and its idcntity and corıservation status are discusscd.
