Zen Gardens, let someone feel the basic spirit of nature and simulatc well sorne seenarlos in the smaIl gardeıı, come in to life with mistism in the art of Japanese garden. Zen Garden 's nıost Iniportant elements are rock, gravel and sand. The key point of these gardens are placlng the rocks accordiııg to the Gestalt Theory which defines the main criterias for coııstructional clernents. Every rock has a different meaning regarding its shape, colour and structure. Rocks symbolize earth, sky, mountains, islands even an animal sometimes. The view in the garden is shaped by sense of a landscape which is created out of the garden. The purpose of this composition which is to bring the Iight and create a miniature world for self, comes true. One of the most important of Zen Gardens is Ryo-anji at Kyoto,
