Tlıere is a close interaction bet\veen the forestry and tourism sectors because of the use of forests for the purpose o f tourism . T he m ain aim o f this study \vas to exam ine and revievv the allocation of forest lands for tourism investm ents and im paets of these allocations on forests in Turkey vvith the case study of Antalya-Belek. Forests are the natural resources that have been negatively affected the m ost from the rapid m ass tourism developm ent in Turkey. This developm ent has enorm ously increased pressure on forest lands for the allocation o f tourism investm ents. Belek is one o f the m ost attractive tourism centers of Turkey vvith its increased tourist num bers, m any tourist facilities and its priorities in term s o f nature protection. The rapid mass tourism developm ent in Belek has led the decrease of the forest land to build large scale tourist facilities and golf courses.
